Our Story

Our family’s story in hospitality began in 1998, when Luciano opened his first restaurant in the UK. From the very beginning, he poured his heart into creating a place where people could enjoy authentic Italian food, warm hospitality, and the feeling of being part of a family.

Along the way, his wife Jayne and daughter Anna became part of the journey, each bringing their own energy and ideas to help shape the atmosphere our guests know and love.

During Covid, when the world slowed down, we came together fully as a family — working side by side at Sorrento, Formby. That time reminded us what really matters: togetherness, keeping traditions alive, and sharing the joy of good food with others.

Now, it’s time for the next chapter. While Luciano continues to share his passion at Sorrento, as a family we are opening Limoncello - led by Anna, with Jayne’s support and Luciano’s guidance still at the heart of everything we do.

Bringing a more modern flair to our family tradition, our kitchen will be led by Head Chef Stefano, who has been part of our team for over 13 years. His creativity, skill, and dedication ensure that every plate blends authentic Italian roots with fresh, contemporary touches.

Limoncello is more than just a restaurant. It’s the continuation of our family dream - a place where tradition meets today, where every guest is welcomed like family, and where each dish is served with the same love that began in 1998.
